Hey all!

This is now wednesday, september 30th 2009 at 10.15 PM.. I am listening lullaby song which makes me want to sleep but I still have to study ,, oh!! you may have no idea what I am doing now. I am now struggling with my upcoming CFP exam which is on November the 14th... what do you think? still way ahead! nO!! I cant follow what you guys are thinking... because you might not know what I've been going through and what i need to do..

I just came to Toronto last year.. I have been dedicated to be a 'help' for people since I was 9th years old.. I dreamed to be a doctor (my parents and my brother are doctors) but I changed my mind after I graduated from high school,,,and... yes, I wanted to be a financial planner.. I want to help people managing their money. I love managing things, organizing "the unorganized".. and most of all I have a passion to listen and talk heart to heart with people - discussing their point of view about life and learning how the way they think to achieve their goals and eventually if they ask for my help, I will be happy to give recommendation for their best interest..

For this reason.. I decided to go to a well-regulated country as I couldnt work in a country with random regulation (like my origin country) so that's the whole idea why I am here now :) I have to learn tons of regulation, economics, politics, and other things to be a good advisor. I spend my daily life learning as well as praying. I know that I have a big challenge as a new comer especially regarding to my goal - to be a financial advisor. I realize that I am an Indonesian myself and trying really hard to keep up to eventually be a trustworthy advisor for canadian people.

Who am I????

I am a-100%-girl who grew up in an awesome family - parents and lovely older brother.. :) I was born on June 17th 1987 at Surakarta (Central Java - Indonesia). I have been blessed with...everything.. every moment in my life - its all about blessing from God.

Here is just a little story of how God guide my life. . .

At the age of 14 years old...I went to Bandung for high school and university. I learned germany and mandarin language. I played violin when I was on 11th grade but then I stopped within a year because not enough time to practice. When I was 9 years old, I started playing piano (never stopped till now), also I started joining choir at school and ever since I always in a choir wherever I am :)

I attended symposium on church choral music and other music workshops for children. As a choir instructor, parents entrusted me with their children. I helped them overcome their weaknesses by using a series of personally developed methods of class instruction. Parents were impressed with my ability to manage and help their children grow :)
In four year period, I was able to succesfully attain two Bachelor Degrees from two universities in Indonesia which were: Bachelor of Business Administration specialization in Financial Management and Bachelor of Computer Information Systems specialization in Business.
I have experience in fund raising when I represented the Head of Monetary Division of First Impression, one of the big events at my university. I set up goals together with my assistants and directed them on how to achieve these goals. Under my leadership, using creativity and strong team spirit, we were able to exceed our expected goals.
As well, during my study time at Parahyangan University, I was working as a computer and accounting laboratory assistant. I worked within an orphanage by teaching reading, writing and mathematics skills.

I came to Toronto with my best friend Adrian, I went to George Brown College for the purpose of accomplishing requirement to write CFP exam.. We studied different program but we still keep in touch until now. I got a part time job as a math tutor, I met Jonathan and Thania who were really nice supervisors :) I taught students how to solve their problems using logic and integrated thinking. I helped foster and encourage student learning.

And God's providence hasnt stopped by then,, (and it will never end..) Having finished 8 months of post graduate program at George Brown College (Toronto), I got a job right away at the Gill Planning Group Inc. I am assisting Kenneth Yip-Chuck, CFP.. a really good mentor who has been teaching me sincerely with his awesome experience and knowledge. I love my job and most of the time I really do enjoy every single day of my life in this world. why most of the time ? the other time is when I feel tired and want to stop from everything, just tired.. feel like going back to my Father's place.... :) hahaha, I have to be patient to wait for that time I guess :p

It's just amazing to live a life with god's love in it.. always inspiring, always new everyday... may His name always be glorified forever and ever..

This is the end of story for today,, I have to go back to study! hahaha.. anyway,, thanks for reading my little story.. :)

WHAT A COINCIDENCE

Sunday, August 3, 2008

This is a story about coincidence of coincidences. My name is Cika from Bandung, Indonesia and there is Bao (my boy friend), Xiang2, Karen and Jeanot. I am going to study to Canada on August 20th while Bao has to go back to Florida continuing his study. In addition to that, Karen, who will graduate on October 2009, wants to start working meanwhile xiang2 and Jeanot have already been working. Those lead us to one conclusion: “We have to celebrate our farewell soon!”
July 29th, 2008
We were planning to go to Waterbom on Wednesday 30th, 2008 or we can call it yesterday. The schedule was fully managed by Karen and we decided to go by Xiang2’s car. Everything looked great before the ‘great’ day. Bao, whose house is about 20 km from mine, stayed overnight after our long day being ‘simson and delilah’ in a small play at a church named hok im tong. By the way, there was the first coincidence today. At the church, each of us was given bread and fried rice. Since the breads were more than needed for all people, we took 11 breads for tomorrow’s meals 
July 30th, 2008
BOOM! Bao and I were too tired to wake up so we didn’t make it on schedule. As we’d planned, Bao and I had to pick up Jeanot and must arrive at Xiang2’s home by 7 o’clock while Karen was waiting at the toll gate…. And here we go, stick to the plan except we were leaving Bandung at 9 which is two hours late….. 11.15, After two hours trip and two stops, we finally were at Jakarta. But, Waterbom.. Where was it? Pantai Indah Kapuk…. But how to get there?? We made phone calls to Papi and Om Daddy, while Xiang2 remained still with her suggestion, Pak Aep! Thank God for Om Daddy who helped us through our stupidity of not knowing the route before we go. At 11.30 when we were queuing in a very long row, there was a big tall macho Indonesian male who came to Xiang2 and Jeanot and asked whether they have already had a ticket so they followed that man to a small booth which was a member lounge. While Karen, Bao, and I remained staying in the row because we didn’t even know what was going on, another Indonesian macho male with glasses which I think he is a local security officer came before us and asked the same question about tickets. Bao and Karen went with that man while I was still queuing for the tickets with an awkward feeling. 2 minutes later, Bao came to me and said that we’ve already bought a ticket from a small counter which supposed to be one of member’s facilities. After those men helped us, we didn’t see them went to help another group. The second coincidence was about these questions.. Why did the first man come to Xiang2 and Jeanot to help us get tickets? Why did the second man also come to another person in our group to help us get tickets again instead of helping another group? The weird thing was we still could have tickets anyway without the second man since Xiang2 and Jeanot could get our tickets.
Entering Waterbom, we took pictures of us and eventually got to a deposit counter. We were queuing for renting a locker and depositing our money for foods and drinks. We were discussing about two kinds of lockers (family locker which is the biggest costs Rp 40.000,00 or individual locker which is half size and half price of the family locker)..We were discussing about the budget we have. We wondered, individual locker for five of us? That’s Rp 100.000,00 for locker only? Dude, it’s not worth it. At last we chose one family locker and one individual locker for our big bags….our ladies’ bag .The lockers still look too small for us so we decided to remove our unimportant things in our bags and put them back to our Kijang Inova, our car. We told Bao to bring one backpack with lots of our junks .Before Bao went to the car, xiang2 told Bao to bring some foods and drink because the foods and drinks at the park are very expensive, for us though. Bao did what Xiang2 had told him, he put down all the junks and put 5 loaves of breads and one 1 liter of mineral water. Even though the policy at the park wouldn’t allow us to bring food and drink from outside, Bao passed the security check ……amazing…a coincidence? Well, it’s also coincidence because when Bao was facing the security, there were a lot of people were being screened by the securities.. There were about 8 people. Bao found a security which stood on the gate. Bao went right away to the security and let the security check his backpack while he was still holding it..Bao used a busy situation…While the security screened the backpack which has lots of breads and one big mineral water, there was a guest who wanted to reentry and she brought a milk bottle…for her baby I guess, or she used this opportunity as well ? …Bao told the security, “Have you checked it? Great! I have someone was waiting for me inside, can I go in?” and Bao DID enter with our snacks and drinks! Yihaaaa… horaii!!
Well, It’s 11.45 now.. the sun will be right upon our head by 12.00. First, we put sun block on our face and body then bite 4 loaves of breads and drank enough water to prepare our body before playing water. And … Yes!! We were so ready to have fun! We took a lot of pictures before getting wet then put the camera back to the locker. First, we played slide which required a tube. There were two kinds of tube, single and double. Bao and I took the double while the rest of us went with the single ones. After two loop, we moved to another game, the slide which needed mat. At the top of the tower where all sliders have to start at, we kind of feel tired with the long queue. By the time, the boy before us suddenly didn’t want to slide, that made our turns. Then, Bao, Karen, and I were going to try the speed slide while Xiang2 and Jeanot gave another try to the mat slide. At the top of the slide, right before Karen’s turn, a woman cancelled herself and it supposed to be Karen’s but…… something happened.. A fat adult man (we called it the ‘bad’ guy) suddenly came from the back and took the turn…and not until 7 seconds, he changed his mind and refused to go on.. “What?? Where is your manner, sir?? Are you nuts??? Have you gone out of your mind??? Ok, lets count it the first time met the bad guy because we met him several time on this trip 
Ready?? GO!! We were about to slide with a giant tube, unfortunately one tube could only be used for 4 people..But we were five!! Ok then, split up! Bao and I went first then followed by Karen, Xiang2, and Jeanot. It’s 13.15, time to eat!! Bao and I went to the locker to get a voucher for one meal and one drink while the other was trying to get a desk and 5 chairs. The fourth coincidence… they got a desk! Then we tried to get 5 chairs by asking people around us who had empty seats, and well done.. 3 groups around our desk were willing to give the chair. I was queuing to get a cup of noodle with meatball and beef while bao and xiang2 went to the deposit counter to top up our deposit. After I’d come with the noodle, the same bad’ guy approached our desk and force us to give one chair that belonged to Bao. Why didn’t he have a little manner? Was it hard to ask politely?
Bao was queuing to get a pan of pizza while we ate noodle and ‘nasi timble’. We’ve switched several times so each of us could at least grab some food while the other was trying to queue another food. Then, we ordered fried rice, but because there were too many people who wanted to have their lunch, we waited for 30 minutes to get a plate of fried rice. It wasn’t worth it after all since the fried rice was a very ordinary traditional fried rice with one sunny side up egg on top of it…oh well…the price is too expensive for a plate of fried rice…huh…anyway, we were quite full after we finished eating…maybe it was too long for waiting and we ate too much ‘wind’…
At last our energy was regained! We were ready to roll again, to slide again..yihaa! Yup, another coincidence was when we met Komeng (one of comedian celebrities).. The result was we were recorded by Trans7 (one of TV channels) . He was so funny and that fully distracted us from tiring because of the long queue. We also met Tessa Kaunang. After we’ve finished sliding with the single and double tubes, we used those tubes to play in a swimming pool with a wave. In this game, Jeanot was never happened to get a waterfall, how pity she was... Then, we moved on to giant tube again.. This time, we were thinking about candid photo of us so we asked a camera man to shoot us when we slide. After 4 times sliding, we decided to go to the mall, found some food and went home. In our way to the bath room, again we met the ‘bad’ guy. He was starring at us until we disappeared from him.
Leaving the Waterbom, we decided to go to the Pacific Place which was the newest mall at Jakarta, unfortunately Bao made us lost in nowhere near his cousin’s home so he called his cousin to get a direction. After 15 minutes, we’ve seen the Pacific Place. But in Jakarta we had to find a turn to get there. Again, Bao turned in a wrong turn so we got lost again but in a coincidence way, we’re heading to EX and met Karen’s brother.. you know why I called it coincidence? It’s because Her brother paid our dinner  haha.. and the last coincidence happened today was we met our friend, Han2. He was also at Jakarta, playing piano for the choir. He was about to go to Bandung by travel car until I send him a message that we were also in Jakarta and headed for Bandung tonight. Since we had a same purpose, he went to Bandung with us.
That was our story……..
